Nikole Jones Appointed to County Board

Will Represent District 28 in Western Dane County
Today County Board Chair Sharon Corrigan announced the appointment of Nikole Jones to the Dane County Board of Supervisors to represent the 28th District, filling the vacancy left by Abigail Wuest. The full County Board will consider the appointment this Thursday. Contingent upon County Board approval, Ms. Jones will immediately be sworn in and participate in the remainder of the meeting.
“I feel really honored to be appointed to the County Board,” said Jones. “Supervisor Wuest represented the interests of the district well, and I look forward to filling her shoes for the remainder of the term.”
“I was impressed by Nikole’s engagement in the community over the past 15 years, including her time spent as an election worker, in the schools, and for various volunteer activities,” said Corrigan. “I am very pleased that five people stepped forward and expressed a willingness to serve, and believe Nikole is best suited for the role” she added.
The five individuals who applied for the appointment are John Brixy, Michelle Doolan, Joe Dwyer, Bob Green, and Nikole Jones. County Board District 28 includes the towns of Berry, Black Earth, Blue Mounds, Cross Plains, Mazomanie and Vermont; Villages of Black Earth, Blue Mounds, Cross Plains, and Mazomanie.
Jones holds a bachelor’s degree from Florida Atlantic University and has worked in the pharmaceutical industries for 20 years and currently works as a biopharmaceutical sales representative. She has a breadth of experience in business, marketing, and management. She lives with her husband and children in the town of Cross Plains.
The current term ends on April 18th, 2016 and Jones intends to stand for election to a full term next spring.
