Just after 5:00 pm on Wednesday, May 29th, Dane County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to an injured pedestrian after a 17-year-old female was struck by a vehicle in the Village of Cambridge.
Witnesses reported that the victim was crossing the street in a crosswalk when a mini-van traveling south on Pleasant St. failed to yield to the pedestrian. The 17-year-old sustained severe but non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to UW Hospital by EMS.
The 41-year-old mini-van driver stopped to help the victim after the crash. Deputies cited her for failure to yield to a pedestrian, causing great bodily harm.
